The Metropolitan Team played the first leg of the final in Milltown GC on Sunday 14th August. Conditions were tough with a strong wind and intermittent showers. The result was a 5 -4 victory for Milltown. The quality of golf played by both teams was excellent. The large crowd showed their appreciation for each good shot played and there were many.

Milltown were excellent hosts both on the course and afterwards at the excellent BBQ. We look forward to hosting them in Lucan GC on Sunday 28th August and reciprocating their hospitality. If the golf is half as good as last day then a great days spectating is guaranteed. We look forward to seeing a large crowd on the day.
