CONDITIONS FOR WINTER 9 HOLE COMPETITIONS 2011

Posted on: November 7th, 2011

9 Hole winter competitions will operate using the electronic time sheet along with the automatic payment purse.

To ensure that members are fully aware of the issues that can or may arise during the winter months, the conditions listed below will operate. However, there may be other issues (mainly weather related) that will arise which may be outside Council’s control.

1)    If frost exists early in the morning, competitions will start on both the Front 9 & Back 9 on winter greens.

2)    It is intended that a course inspection will take place at or before 11am on the Back 9 only, by the Course Superintendent, following which the Back 9 full greens may be introduced.

Any member who has started their competition on winter greens must continue to play the winter greens for the remainder of their round.

At no time, should any member interfere with the set-up of the course. Please leave flags as you find them.

3)    In the event that either 9 is closed due to flooding, players will only be able to transfer to the other 9 if spaces are available.

4)    Times of opening during the winter months will be as follows;

Front 9 -  8 am.

Back 9 -  9 am.

(This later start on the Back 9 is to allow the course staff prepare the greens)

Eamonn Hudson,

On behalf of Council.

4th November 2011.
